I have a serious problem. I am 25 years old. Male. I have had this problem for 9 years.

I apologize if the content of this post is somewhat 'not nice'.

I just don't know what to do.

My problems are, I have a constant feeling of 'fulness' and always feel like I need to go to the toilet for a #2. Everytime I pass motions, it is never 'normal'. I spend about 20 minutes each time I go to the toilet. Everytime I go, I never feel 'empty' or 'complete' and when trying to clean myself, all that happens is that it just always 'smears'. There seriously hasn't been one time in about 9 years when I could honestly say, 'That I have managed to have the perfect passing of motions where I feel completely empty and when it doesn't stop smearing the toilet paper'.

This has caused me huge problems in my life, massive problems. It is very embarrassing when I go to the toilet because people often wonder what I am doing for so long in the bathroom.

Because I never feel 'complete' or 'empty' I always feel as though I need to go straight into the bath after passing bowel movements. This is because I feel as though I am clean afterwards and also because I feel as though the hot water helps close everything so that it doesn't smear anymore. Some days are good and some are terrible.

I have tried all different things to help this like, having a higher fibre diet, drinking lots of water, fruit, veg etc, etc, but it never ever helps! I feel as though it is more a 'mechanical' issue and problem rather than a problem inside my stomach or intestines. The problem only seems to be 'right at the very end' before it comes out, sort of like a 'blockage' right at the end.

There is never ever any pain. Because the feeling of fulness is constantly there, I feel always the need to go the toilet and 'try again' but I make the problem worse, because the more I try and try, or push and push, it just causes more of a 'feeling of fulness and the urge to pass movement' but never anything '

I have suffered with spasms within the colorectum which initially lasted for 30-60 mins, but have increased to 25 hours over a 4-month period. On a recent admission to hospital (pain), a combination of Baclofen, GTN spray and Lorazepam completely removed this pain. Does anyone have similar symptoms?
